Saturday and Sunday, December 5th and 6th, 2009

15 studios open their doors to share their spaces with a total of 35 artists showing a wide variety of arts and crafts.

September 5th through the 24th, 2009

The Paradise Studio Tour Artist Collective is having their first member show at the Keaau Fine Arts Gallery (also known as Island Giclee & Inkjet Art Supply) in Shipman Business Park in Keaau.

Opening Reception Saturday, September 5th from 6-9pm.
The public is welcome free.

This multi-media exhibit features over 20 mostly Puna artists showing pottery, cement lava pots, fused and blown glass, jewelry, paintings, wood, quilting and fiber art, with featured art demonstrations during the month. The show is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, September 5-24, 2009.

"The best news we share is that our mission is being accomplished, which is to support and encourage art and fellowship among artists in our community through exhibits such as the December studio tour where local artists open their studios to display their work in the setting where it is created," says board member and clay artist Patti Datlof. "Our mission is also to encourage art education through donations to local schools for art supplies and by providing opportunities for mentoring, lectures and workshops." The 2008 tour donation was over $1000.00 to the Hawaii Academy of Arts and Sciences in Pahoa, and the first year was $600 to the Keaau High School art department. This year's December 5 & 6 tour (13 Hawaiian Paradise Park studios with 35 artists) will donate to the Pahoa High School art department.
During the summer three of the PST Artist Collective members taught at the Malamalama Waldorf School in HPP for their Summer Arts Program. Various members also teach from their home studios and elsewhere.

The demonstrations during the gallery show take place from 10-2pm.
